Tips for Creating a Listing your Clients will LOVE… – So you’ve registered as a Vendor on our site and started creating a Vendor Listing. Great! That’s the first step to building and growing your business!

Finding your way around a new website can be tricky though. And there’s nothing worse than not knowing how to use a website and its services – especially when it comes to boosting your business.

That’s why we’ve created an ultimate guide to fill you in on everything you need to know to attract more clients to your listing… Yay! So let’s get right to it and start off with a few basics:

Step 1

Add Your Business Website


Even just typing in your website domain will help your Google ranking. When a big website links back to your own business website, Google recognises it as a ‘backlink‘ and it can increase your ranking.

So just typing in your business website domain when creating your listing (which looks like ‘’) is a great start!

There is also another section where you can enter your business website domain and get another valued backlink but we will go into detail about this later.

Step 2

Describe Your Business & Services


The next thing you can do to improve your listing is write a full description of your business and its services in the business description section. We recommend a minimum of 150 words but if you can manage it… 300 words or more is ideal!

If you want your listing appearing in Google Search Results then 300 words is normally required. Get in touch if you are struggling to reach that word count and we’ll give you some pointers!

A full description of your business and its services not only helps with SEO, it also helps couples connect with you so it’s very important for encouraging couples to get in touch with you.

Step 3

Don’t Forget About Your Author Profile!


Part 1 – Get Real …

Your Author Profile is an extension of your listing and is another way for couples to learn more about you. You can access your profile information and edit it by clicking the Profile Tab from your Account Dashboard dropdown menu.

Here you can write about yourself as an individual, allowing couples to get to know you on a personal level. You can write as little or as much as you like but it is important to write something genuine and real.

Couples will only book a vendor they trust so keep that in mind when writing about yourself

You can add a photo of yourself too so couples know who their contacting – this is another way to gain trust and increase the likelihood of them reaching out to you.

Author Profile’s are on a separate page but appear as a section at the bottom of your Listing so it is easy for couples to click through to view it. Couples viewing your listing can see your author photo, name and bio; meaning you can successfully create a connection with couples before they’ve even contacted you.

Part 2 – Add Socials

The great thing about your Author Profile is that because it is separate from your Listing Page, you can get more backlinks by adding your Social Media channels and Business Website links to it…

So don’t lose out in a potential boost to your Google Ranking and start adding those valued backlinks to your profile pronto!

Step 4

Ask Previous Clients To Leave A Review
