Scottish Elopement Wedding in the Highlands – The Scottish Highlands is well known for its beautiful landscape and dramatic atmosphere. It’s the perfect setting if you are looking for a wild and adventurous experience.
That being said, getting married outdoors in this part of the country does come with a disclaimer – Be prepared for all weather conditions….but for many people the stunning beauty of the place always seems to outweigh any potential bad weather reservations.
Especially when the moody skies only end up adding more romance and mystery to the occasion! Tom and Bex certainly got a taste of the changing weather conditions during their elopement day…And they loved every minute of it!
One thing that’s never in doubt in this part of the world, is that the atmosphere is electric no matter what the weather…
We join Bex and Tom on the morning of their elopement at a cosy sitooterie secretly tucked away in a Scottish Highland Glen…
Their plan is to head to Buachaille Etive Mòr for their ceremony, it’s a popular spot overlooking a mountain in the scenic area of Glencoe.
It’s a great place for an elopement wedding due to the vast scenic landscape that surrounds and engulfs you. It really adds to the excitement and emotion of the day.
Bex and Tom are getting ready separately before they meet in the garden for their First Look.
First Looks aren’t as common in Scotland as they are in other parts of the world like America but it’s a great thing to do if you’re feeling nervous or even slightly stressed.
Your wedding day is a big, big moment so it’s natural to be nervous and a First Look lets you see each other and can calm your nerves just by being together and feeling each other’s presence.
So when Tom seen Bex for the first time on this beautiful Spring morning, his face was full of emotion! And as soon as they were in each other’s arms you could see their nerves dwindling away. Now they were both ready to enjoy their day together, hand in hand…
Keep scrolling to see their elopement adventure in full and see how the weather changed from a Spring morning to a wintry afternoon as snow flurries started to fall all around them!
